Difficult Conversations about Race - Save the Date!

Come and join us for our next public engagement event on Thursday 12th September!

At our previous events, a lot of participants expressed the desire to build more confidence and learn new strategies for effectively engaging in difficult conversations about race. So that is exactly what we will be focusing on this time.

We are also excited to announce that this event welcomes white people as well as people of colour. The workshops will be targeting people loosely involved in education in some capacity (either working in an education institution, attending one, a parent/guardian or interested in education more generally). Children accompanied by a parent or guardian are most welcome.

At the event, you will get a chance to network, develop effective strategies to talk about race and possibly contribute to The Anti-Racist Educator platform in some shape or form. The meeting will provide a safe, confidential space for learning and reflection. It will also help you develop the confidence to use your voice for positive change.

The meeting will start at 6pm at the University of the West of Scotland (Paisley Campus).

Room D137/139 in the McLean Building on High Street

Paisley PA12BE

The venue is wheelchair accessible and close to many public transport links (10min by train from Glasgow Central Station).

Please confirm your attendance by emailing us at theantiracisteducator@gmail.com

We hope to see you there!
